Open Lens IV
from 20.00

Open Call to DVAA Members and the Public:
Da Vinci Art Alliance is proud to hold its fourth annual photography exhibition, Open Lens IV. In celebrating the vast scope of contemporary photography, Open Lens IV is open to all forms of photography, capturing any subject, of any theme, using any photographic discipline.

Open Lens IV will be juried by Philadelphia photographer, Ronald Corbin. Corbin’s work draws on a fascination and focus on the less fortunate individuals that looked to the city's streets, bridges and abandoned structures as their home. In Philadelphia the various neighborhoods of the city that include Kensington, a blue collar section that transformed into a drug haven, greatly influence his work. The majority of Ron's body of work is concentrated here and continues to be the subject of his exploration of the lives of disenfranchised individuals.

Personally Speaking - DVAA @ IHP

To coincide with the Lightbox Film Center's screening a collection of classic Hollywood and independent features, documentaries, and television work from the mid-20th century (as part of the UCLA Festival of Preservation) in January-March, International House Philadelphia will also be hosting an exhibition in their gallery space, organized and presented by Da Vinci Art Alliance (DVAA), called Personally Speaking. This exhibition, juried by Katherine Kurtz, will encompass the experiences of our artists as they explore aspects of their lifetime and/or creative practice that reflect social turmoil or in some way respond to a life well lived. Deadline to submit: 1/12/18
