DVAA annually offers at least 3 members-only exhibitions, DVAA open calls, and juried calls open to the public. 
DVAA Members receive a discount on fees and access to multiple member-only exhibition opportunities.

OPEN CALL FOR ARTWORK

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: NOVEMBER 18 AT MIDNIGHT

It is once again that time of the year. Every December DVAA not only celebrates the holiday season but also our wonderful membership with a culminating members only exhibition. 2018 has been a tremendous year at Da Vinci Art Alliance! So what better way to celebrate than with the largest collection of DVAA-made art all under one roof? For the very first time ever, a DVAA exhibition will span both our upstairs and downstairs galleries!

DVAA POLICY: DVAA is responsible for all press releases, listings, price lists, and gallery labels. Your participation is permission to include images of artwork in promotion. Artwork will be handled with great care, but DVAA is not responsible for loss or damage. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. When the work is delivered the exhibitions director reserves the right to refuse works that are not ready to be shown because of improper framing, fragility, damage or low quality. The artist receives 80% commission on artwork sold from the exhibition and as a result of contacts made through the DVAA. Payment to the artist will be sent within 30 days. All artwork must be retrieved during the designated Pick Up times above and cannot leave the gallery early. Artworks left unattended becomes property of the gallery and may be discarded due to very limited storage space.

RULES FOR ENTRY: You may submit 1 artwork. Artwork must be no larger than 20” x 20” x 20” (including frame) Label the back of your work with your name and title of artwork All artwork must be ready to display. Wall hanging pieces must be wired. If your work requires any additional apparatus to be shown, it must be provided.

Artwork Delivery: Nov. 25, 11am-1pm & Nov. 29, 6-8pm
Opening Reception: Dec. 5, 6-8pm
Run Dates: Dec. 5 - Dec. 16
Artwork Pick Up: Dec. 16, 5-7pm & 12/17/18, 6-8pm

OPEN CALL FOR A SOLO EXHIBITION

With the generous funding from the Joseph Robert Foundation, Da Vinci Art Alliance is happy to announce one fully funded exhibition opportunity for a solo exhibition for an underserved artist who demonstrates financial and/or logistical challenges. This opportunity is open to all Philadelphia-based artists over the age of 18 that show artistic excellence in their chosen field and would not otherwise have access to this opportunity.

OPEN CALL FOR A CURATOR

With the generous funding from the Joseph Robert Foundation, Da Vinci Art Alliance is happy to announce one fully funded exhibition opportunity for a Philadelphia-based emerging and/or under-represented curator. The curator should explore social, political, or cultural content and have limited access to institutional opportunities to develop this craft.

OPEN LENS V, juried open call

Open Call to all DVAA Members and the Public

Deadline to Submit: Jan. 27, midnight

Open Lens V is the fifth installment of Da Vinci Art Alliance's annual photo arts juried competition.
The resulting exhibition will be a survey of the current state of contemporary photography and photo arts. As such, this competition is open to all photographic mediums, exploring any subject matter.

Open Lens V is open to both DVAA members and non-members.

About the Juror: Lori Waselchuk is a Philadelphia-based photographer, videographer, and multidisciplinary artist. Through photography, video, and multimedia, Waselchuk tells stories that connect and engage communities. As a freelance photojournalist, Waselchuk's photographs have appeared in magazines and newspapers worldwide, including Newsweek, LIFE, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times. She has done photography work with several international aid organizations including CARE, the UN World Food Program, Médecins Sans Frontières, and the Vaccine Fund. Currently Waselchuk is the Exhibitions and Programs Coordinator at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.
