a solo exhibition of work by Rusty Eveland in Gallery 2
June 8th - 30th

“This series is born out of an absolute frustration with the amount of disconnect that exists among us. I needed to channel that negative energy into something more joyful. I found bridges and their surroundings to be a colorful symbol of strength, stability, connectivity, and perseverance. This series will feature bridges from all around the region.”

Rusty Eveland is a self-taught painter with formal training in animation. His background in animation shows through in his paintings, as overlapping passages “move” and come together to form the subject. His short films have screened in festivals all over the area, and his artwork has been exhibited and sold all over the country and Bermuda. This is his first solo exhibition.
