“I don’t believe in echoing the negativity in the world with my work. Creativity provides escape from a sometimes crippling reality. With this series, I turned to bridges as a symbol of strength, perseverance, connectivity, and escape.”

Rusty is an artist and animator living and working in South Philadelphia. He earned his BFA in Animation from The University Of The Arts, and has been an avid painter for over a decade. His animated shorts have screened all over the region, and his work has been shown and sold across the country and Bermuda. “Span” will be his first solo exhibition.
